Bird Beaks -  You can tell a lot about a bird by looking at it.  The beak of a woodpecker is designed to get to the insects in a tree while the beak of a hummingbird is no good for that but is perfectly designed to get the nectar out of a funnel-shaped flower.  The feet of the eagle are perfect for clutching its prey while the feet of the duck could not grab its prey but are perfect for swimming.  The coloring of a peacock is perfect for attracting a mate but would not camouflage it and keep its eggs safe.  The size, shape, color, beak, and feet all tell us something about the bird, so we can have a pretty good idea of what it eats and where it may live.
